What are your thoughts on the reelection of President Obama?
Ok, I know this one is gonna get heated. I am an avid Obama supporter and I think he is doing an awesome job, but I hear tons of unsatisfied Americans complain about him everyday. Why? He has only been in office for 2 1/2 years now and already they want to throw him up under the bus and criticize every little thing he does. When Bush was in Office, he was actually making a huge mess, but we reelected him. Does this mean that the republican party just had more connections and revenue that made his reelection happen? Or are we to blame ourselves for either NOT voting, or voting for the wrong guy? Is it fair for us to blame EVERYTHING on the United States government, or are "We the people" somewhat responsible for our own outcome as a country? If you don't think Obama is doing a good job, I would LOVE to know detailed reasoning why you think so and how you have come to this conclusion. If you believe that he has, please explain why you think this also. Most people are afraid to speak on politics because it tends to get so heated. However, it is up to us to understand what we need in this country, and if we don't address our issues ourselves, we will never be satisfied! Let's talk:)

Greetings!
ReplyDeleteSome say I am a "know it all," some say "I think I'm smart,"...well I just pride myself on reading, listening, watching and educating myself on FACTS, DATA, INFORMATION AND REALITY. Our President, Barack Obama, has been in office for approximately 18 months and the level of disrespect, disgrace and partisanship has been unbelieveable. The economy is coming back around. We have had Private Sector Job growth for 10 months this year, growth in GDP and the Auto Industry is back and Banks. It's very clear, we know it's tough economic times but uhhh hello..how did we get there..BUSH! So, you want to blame the new guy for things moving slow..oh really! Well, when you are in debt or in crisis in your own life, do you come out of it FAST!? Im still paying Student Loans and the IRS....things take time. I'm not complaining! I think the MEDIA ought to be ashamed of itself because of this fascination with negativity, Sarah Palin and they sort of created this nonsense environment. They like to point out the negative aspects. The media should be ashamed of itself. There is much hatred in this country. Alot of it stems from racism! Sorry, that is a fact of life. If you were a normal smart person you would know about certain basic things that affect your life like Government, Education, YOur Community, etc. People don't care about anything beyond their world and then they sit back and complain. For one, take responsibility for your own life. If you are unemployed then find a new job, go to school, retrain yourself! If you are struggling, just imagine there are many folks struggling! If you want to know what President Obama has done just go to http://www.whatthefuckhasobamadonesofar.com/
Because I can't take people that are not concerned with the world around them!!!!
Funny how I can have so many arguments about this with people but when I post this blog, NO ONE responds except one person!!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel that re-electing President Barack Obama is a good move. He's working so hard to put this country back together. People are killing me thinking that he is suppose to get the job done in a 2 day process. They need to sit back and see how long it takes to get there credit back to where it needs to be and put the shoe on the other foot. People need to start being more realistic, give him a chance and let him do his job.
ReplyDeleteWell first off I want to say that I agree with you ladies about many of the things that you have posted here. I am also excited to see people who are passionate about whats going on in the world and also willing to research these things and then be vocal about the conclusions that you have come too. I hope that this will be a respectful and intellectual experience for all of us. In my honest opinion this is more of an in person conversation because its difficult to fully articulate views and opinions... but for the sake of discussion I will attempt to do just that. The first thing we have to do here is define things and the first definition I would like to examine is "Government" (the people who run and control the economy of the world in turn the media, politicians through campaign finance and other mediums, the funding of wars, controlers of banks who practice policies that control the economy, and the regulators of credible propaganda… he who controls the "education" controls the people. My issue is not with Obama on a personal level and the "Job" that he is doing is a great job particularly for the Governments agenda.
ReplyDeleteThat agenda is about maintaining faith in the Government and social control. Obama has helped to restore faith in the idea that "the system works" and the system does work for certain socio economic classes of people but the system is not working for the oppressed who are voiceless. The voiceless are not voiceless because they dont vote (in my humble opinion that I'm entitled to) it does not matter who is put into office as long as the policies are in place and people are on pay rolls our people will not achieve what it means to be liberated from this oppressive government that builds prisons everyday to house them in. The government controls the education for groups and populations of people so ultimately the uneducated will become unemployed and eventually incarcerated. My people are fighting for self determination that is what Garvey’s flag was about and what Malcolm died for and the reason why 21 year old Chairman Fred Hampton was assassinated on December 4th 1969 on orders from the federal government (via the Chicago Police at 4am firing a 100 rounds of bullets into his house) for the free breakfast program that the Black Panther Party had established (this program was deemed the biggest threat to national security by the FBI‘s new Cointellpro‘s program at the time) where they were feeding over 3,500 kids a week and teaching principles of socialism. Eventually the government stole and implemented this program into the public school system without the socialism. The fear the government had was that the Black Panther Party was educating people on the truth about the government and the relationships between the politicians, the preachers who were in bed with the politicians and the way entertainers would be used to promote the “Governments” agenda hence the idea of “Vote or Die”. Our people are voting and they are still dying. Truth is they can say we don’t vote all day long the only way we have to validate this information is through their forms of media and the research and results we get from their polls.
ReplyDeleteUltimately I would never trust someone who plans to keep me enslaved to inform, educate or empower me. At the end of the day its not about Obama for me. Neo-Colonialism, The Last Stage of Imperialism -Kwame Nkrumah 1965. Neo Colonialism is putting a black face on their agenda to give the illusion that racism doesn’t exist and we are all recipients of equal citizenship and that simply isn’t true. Obama may have the greatest intentions in the world but at the end of the day the system will Co-opt him and then cold drop him just like it does all of black leadership who ultimately gets executed, institutionalized, or exiled. We have to be cautious about putting our faith in a system that does not serve our peoples interest and our faith into someone who is doing what is what I would call “safe“ work (work that poses no threat to “order/social control“. There is a difference in a civil rights worker and a revolutionary. A civil rights worker believes in working within the system in an attempt to change policies or put the right person in office but as long as we live in a capitalist society instead of a socialist one working with the system is a dangerous game. Revolutionaries work for liberation and self determination which cannot be achieved in this hypocracy.
